Highway Infrastructure - Road Construction

LIMCO Engineering proudly contributed to Jamaica's premier millennium project, the TransJamaica Highway, by providing comprehensive electrical engineering design services for roadway lighting and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) expertise for the toll stations at Sandy Bay and Ewarton. Our collaboration with Bouygues Travaux Publics on this landmark 49.5 km toll highway showcases our ability to deliver complex, large-scale infrastructure projects. 

Highway Infrastructure - Solar Feasibility Study

Client : National Road Operating Company (NROC)

Project : Highway 2000 North-South Highway

Year : 2012

The National Road Operating Company, tasked with overseeing Jamaica's highway infrastructure, engaged the services of LIMCO Engineering to explore sustainable energy solutions for the North-South Highway. Our comprehensive feasibility study assessed the viability of solar-powered lighting, coupled with a detailed cost-benefit analysis, aiming to reduce energy consumption and environmental impact. This initiative underscores a commitment to greener infrastructure and responsible resource management, while at the same time ensuring the safety of highway users. 

Transportation - Fire Alarm & Protection

Client : Norman Manley Airport Ltd.

Project : Extension of Fire Alarm & Detection System - new section of the Passenger Terminal

LIMCO Engineering was commissioned by Norman Manley Airports Ltd to design a comprehensive fire protection and detection system for their new terminal extension. Our team of fire protection engineers meticulously designed and integrated a new sprinkler system, cutting-edge fire detection devices, and a robust fire alarm system, ensuring the utmost safety and compliance with all applicable codes and standards. This state-of-the-art system significantly enhances the safety of the airport, providing peace of mind for all who pass through.

Project : Solar Feasibility Study - Airport Parking Lots

Year : 2016

Norman Manley International Airport partnered with LIMCO Engineering to explore a sustainable energy solution by conducting a solar feasibility study. Our assessment focused on integrating solar panels into existing parking lot structures, providing a detailed cost-benefit analysis and projecting significant energy savings and carbon footprint reduction. This initiative highlights the airport's commitment to environmental responsibility and positions them as a leader in sustainable practices. 

Transportation - Security

Client : Ministry of Finance, St. Vincent & The Grenadines

Project : Security Upgrade Project - ET Joshua Airport (Closed)/Kingstown Cruise Ship Terminal

Year : 2004

The Government of St. Vincent & The Grenadines partnered with LIMCO Engineering to enhance security at their air and seaports. We designed and supervised the installation of a state-of-the-art closed-circuit television system, thoughtfully integrating it into the island's cultural landscape to ensure both effectiveness and sensitivity to local norms. 

Tourism - Architectural MEP

Project : Melia Braco Renovation Project

The National Investment Fund entrusted LIMCO Engineering with revitalising the electrical infrastructure at Braco Resort.
